LET'S TALK ABOUT GOD

The churches of Christ Greet You (Romans 16:16)

Introduction:

Jesus is not only the Son of God, but also God the Son.  Since no greater truth is affirmed in the Sacred Text, one cannot read the Bible (especially the New Testament) without recognizing the One who is God the Son (cf. Heb. 1:8).  This doctrine in fact permeates the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation; only a materialist would fail to see it.

IV.  LET'S TALK ABOUT THE GODHEAD BODILY

Loved ones, the Godhead (Acts 17:29) and the Godhead bodily of Christ (Col. 2:9) are two Divine terms which are sorely misunderstood.  Today, with the Lord’s help, we will continue to clear away the fog.  Please read, re-read, study, and meditate on these lessons more than once.  Our prayer is that God will bless you with a deeper understanding of His “exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Pet. 1:4).

All men have a CREATED nature of life, and that a New Testament Christian also has a REDEEMED nature of life.  Rightly applying this knowledge and understanding will cause you to develop a greater understanding of the True Being of GOD and the True Being of CHRIST in matters of your own individual being of life.

Each human possesses a CREATED nature of life because GOD, in being THREE equal Persons who are called the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, created your life free of sin (cf. Gen. 1; Matt. 18:3). This means that you must be RULED in matters of your own creation of life because you possess a CREATED nature of life.  So then the term Godhead is used in the Scriptures to explain the Divine Rule of GOD in reference to your own CREATED nature of life.

Those THREE Heavenly Persons who created you must RULE you (if you ever expect to have the abundant life here and in eternity - John 10:10).  Therefore, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit are the three Heavenly Persons who equally are made to RULE in the Godhead (a Divine term which means the Divine Rule of GOD) in matters of your own CREATED nature of life because GOD in being the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit created you.

The Father is all that GOD is because He is called God (James 1:27) and He makes God to be the Originator (the Progenitor) of our own CREATED nature of life.  If God had not created man, God would not be called the Father (the Originator: the Progenitor) of our own CREATED nature of life.

The Word is all that GOD is because He is called God (John 1:1-3) and He makes God to be the Logos (the Enlightener) of our own CREATED nature of life.  If God had not created man, God would not be called the Word (the Logos: the Enlightener) of our own CREATED nature of life.

The Holy Spirit is all that GOD is because He is called God (Acts 5:3-4) and He makes God to be the Lawgiver (the Ruler) of our own CREATED nature of life.   If God had not created man, God would not be called the Holy Spirit  (the Lawgiver and Ruler) of our own CREATED nature of life.

Now let’s talk about those who are New Testament Christians (as opposed to denominational “Christians”).  Christians possess a REDEEMED nature of life because CHRIST, in being THREE equal Persons who are called the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, redeemed us from the guilt and the punishment of sin (cf. 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Rom. 6:23).  Christians possess a REDEEMED nature of life because they were baptized into CHRIST for the remission of their sins by being immersed in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 3:27; Acts 2:38; Matt. 28:19).

This means that you must be RULED in matters of your own redemption of life because you possess a REDEEMED nature of life.  So then the term Godhead bodily of CHRIST is used in the Scriptures to explain the Divine Rule of CHRIST in matters of your own REDEEMED nature of life.

Thus, those THREE Heavenly Persons who redeemed you must RULE you.  Therefore, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the three Heavenly Persons who equally are made to RULE in the Godhead bodily of CHRIST (a Divine term which signifies the Divine Rule of GOD) in matters of your own REDEEMED nature of life because CHRIST in being the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit redeemed you.

The Father is all that CHRIST is because He is called Christ (Isa. 9:6) and He makes Christ to be the Originator (the Progenitor) of our own REDEEMED nature of life.  If Christ had not redeemed man, Christ would not be called the Father (the Originator: the Progenitor) of our own REDEEMED nature of life.

The Son (the Incarnated Word) is all that CHRIST is because He is called Christ (Matt. 16:16) and He makes Christ to be the Redeemer (the Purchaser) of our own REDEEMED nature of life.  If Christ had not redeemed man, Christ would not be called the Son (the Redeemer: the Purchaser) of our own REDEEMED nature of life.

The Holy Spirit is all that CHRIST is because He is called Christ (Rom. 8:9) and He makes Christ to be the Lawgiver (the Ruler) of our own REDEEMED nature of life.  If Christ had not redeemed man, Christ would not be called the Holy Spirit (the Lawgiver and Ruler) of our own REDEEMED nature of life.

In summary - GOD and CHRIST are two Divine Names given to refer to THREE Heavenly Persons who equally are made to work and RULE in matters of our own creation and redemption of life.  Those who are New Testament Christians have been created and redeemed by three equal Persons (the Godhead) who are  made to be called GOD and CHRIST in being our Creator and our Redeemer.
